"I will not vote for the Moderates in this year's election. Immigration policy is crucial," he writes in an open letter to Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson published on DN Debatt.
Svegfors has been in a long-term care facility for six months. Several of his caregivers are in an "immigration policy no-man's land" and are threatened with deportation despite having lived in Sweden for a long time and being well integrated, with permanent employment in a sector with labour shortages, he writes.
"What will determine my political stance is not right or left, but the view of humanity as it is actually expressed in political action," he writes to Kristersson.
