In the beginning of May, a care recipient in Jämtland was found hypothermic outdoors. The person, who only had socks and pyjamas on, had hit themselves and was bleeding and lay on the ground and the incident has now been reported, reports Östersunds-Posten.
The person lived in an accommodation in the county and was found at 05.00 in the morning by the night staff.
The incident has been lex-Sarah-reported to the Inspection for care and services (Ivo).
It is not clarified exactly how long the person lay outdoors, but according to the care provider it was at most two hours.
After the incident, the accommodation is implementing measures that will be presented to Ivo. For example, the accommodation will review the night staff's routines and order door alarms, writes ÖP.
