Lauren Tomasi had just finished a live broadcast from the unrest on the streets of LA when she was hit by a shot from one of the police officers.
Tomasi was hit in the leg and, apart from being sore, is unscathed.
Police have used both rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse demonstrators.
