The Islamist rebel movement HTS says it will issue an amnesty for the conscript soldiers who served the former regime's military.
HTS (Hayat Tahrir al-Sham) announces this on the social media platform Telegram.
HTS writes that "no one will attack" those who were forced to serve, according to mandatory recruitment.
