The infrastructure concern Expin Group, which is part of the risk capital company Ratos' portfolio, is restructuring its operations, writes Ratos in a press release.
Prior to the restructuring, Expin Group's operations included project planning, contracting, and maintenance of railways and rail-bound infrastructure.
"The operations are now being restructured to focus on the electrification of rail-bound infrastructure," writes Ratos.
The foundation of the new company structure will be the subsidiaries Elektrosignal Infra and Ratatek, with operations in Finland and Sweden.
"The remaining operations in Expin Group will be sold or phased out during the fall of 2024," writes Ratos.
It is not clear how many employees will be affected.
Among other subsidiaries in Expin Group are the Norwegian Sportek, the NVBS companies with operations in Sweden and Norway, the Swedish-based Prador Infra, the Swedish measurement technology group, and TKBM Entreprenad, based in the Mälardalen region.
The Ratos share rises slightly after the announcement, up 0.1 percent on an otherwise weakly declining stock market.
