At a press conference in Budapest on Monday, Magyar commented on Hungary's problematic relationship with war-torn neighboring Ukraine.
He said he opposes Ukraine quickly becoming a member of the EU as long as Russia's invasion continues.
At the press conference the day after Magyar's party, Tisza, won a landslide victory in the Hungarian election, Magyar hinted that he was open to allowing an EU aid loan of around 90 billion euros to Ukraine, a loan that outgoing Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had blocked.
