"With around 100,000 Ukrainians in Norway, we expect this to be a particular future challenge. Ukrainians live all over the country and therefore this is a relevant issue for most municipalities and districts," says PST Director Atle Tangen.
He adds that PST wants to have a closer dialogue with Ukrainians in Norway to "increase awareness and vigilance around this issue."
The move comes after PST published a report on the national threat picture, which highlights increased activity by Russian intelligence services in light of Russia's offensive war in Ukraine and Norway's increased participation in NATO exercises, among other things.
PST says it is aware of several recruitment attempts, including in southern Norway.
