The prosecutor has also demanded that LKAB pay SEK 55.5 million in corporate fines, which the company has admitted.
The accident occurred in May 2024 when a mechanic died during maintenance work at the mine.
No individual within the company has been charged with a crime.
"Together with the police, I have investigated the issue of personal responsibility and have concluded that it is not possible to assign responsibility to any individual with the certainty required in criminal cases," says senior prosecutor Frida Molander, who is leading the preliminary investigation, in a press release.
The prosecutor has requested that the case be decided without a main hearing. The company has admitted to the crime and agreed to pay the amount claimed, the Prosecution Authority writes in a press release.
