The Swedish Ombudsman (JO) Per Lennerbrant is prosecuting a prosecutor for misconduct, reports SVT News Uppsala.
It was in January of this year that a man was arrested for a serious crime while his home was being searched. He was released the following day, as there was no reason to suspect the man.
After investigation, the Ombudsman believes that the prosecutor's decision to arrest and search the house was made "without ensuring with sufficient accuracy and care that there was grounds for suspicion of a crime."
"I am now submitting the matter to the court for review," Lennerbrant said in a press release.
