Under an alias, the man posted murder assignments in chat groups – and admitted during police interrogation that it was he who chatted under the aforementioned alias.
But both the district court and the court of appeal considered it to be an attempt at instigation to murder, which is not punishable.
Now, the court of appeal's judgment is being appealed to the Supreme Court by the prosecutor-general Katarina Johansson Welin, who wants the man to be convicted of instigation to murder.
”The precedent that exists regarding instigation of this type is both outdated and limited, so it is important for the guidance of the application of law that the Supreme Court tries my appeal”, says Johansson Welin in a press release.
