"I request that the Court of Appeal, by amending the district court's judgment in the penalty section, toughen the penalty by imposing a longer prison sentence," Chamber Prosecutor Hanna Nilsson writes, according to the newspaper.
Christofer Lundström has also previously appealed the verdict.
The Court of Appeal has decided, at the prosecutor's request, to hold a detention hearing on Monday, Aftonbladet writes.
Lundström is the half-brother of YouTube star Joakim Lundell, who also testified against his brother during the trial.
According to the district court's ruling, he earned millions of kronor from his business between 2021 and 2024 - but without keeping accounts and without reporting his income to the Swedish Tax Agency. Among other things, he was convicted of gross accounting fraud, gross tax fraud, gross business-related money laundering, and gross promotion of illegal gambling.
