During the fire, a woman who had recently undergone surgery and was unable to get out of the house herself died.
Her relatives have reported the rescue service for misconduct. A prosecutor now confirms that a preliminary investigation has been initiated regarding the rescue service's action.
The rescue service's internal investigation showed that the woman had contact with the alarm center for more than half an hour during the fire. She appealed for help and eventually told how the fire had started in her bed.
For 20 minutes of the conversation, the rescue service was outside her house, but the commander on site could not take in the information from the alarm center that the woman was alive, the investigation showed.
