A man is being pursued after escaping from a prison outside Lyon in France on Friday, announces the French prison service.
The 20-year-old man managed to make his way to freedom by hiding in a fellow inmate's bag, when the latter was to leave the prison after being released.
The escapee was serving a sentence for several crimes and is also under investigation for links to organized crime, according to a source for AFP.
The prison service has initiated an internal investigation and the prosecutor will also investigate the incident.
