The charges in Poland against Ziobro included abuse of power, leading a criminal network, and monitoring journalists.
Ziobro, who belongs to the right-wing Law and Justice party, chose to seek asylum in Hungary in January, which was then led by right-wing politician Viktor Orbán.
On Sunday, Ziobro confirmed that he had left Hungary, which is now led by Prime Minister Péter Magyar after his election victory over Orbán's party.
"I am in the United States," Ziobro said in an interview with the Polish right-wing media company Republika.
Poland says it wants him extradited from the United States.
