The Belgian Jasper Philipsen took home the approximately 165-kilometer-long stage of the Tour de France between the French Agen and Pau after great drama in the final stretch.

Philipsen sprinted past his compatriot Wout van Aert and thus won his second stage under this year's Tour de France.

But just a few hundred meters earlier, another drama unfolded.

In the final stretch of the stage, Maxime van Gils crashed after colliding with one of his own teammates in the Lotto Dstny team. Thereafter, several cyclists fell like a domino effect.

The 14th stage will be held on Saturday, between Pau and Pla d'Adet.
