The decline in the adjusted operating result for the first quarter was not as large as feared. The average analyst prognosis prior to the report was 318 million euros.
For the full year, Philips expects the so-called EBITA margin to land at 10.8-11.3 percent according to the interim report. The company's previous prognosis was 11.8-12.3 percent, while the market on average counted on 12 percent.
The prognosis for a sales increase of 1-3 percent this year is reaffirmed and can be compared to 2.2 percent on average among analysts.
