The recall applies to batches of Nomic ice axes, which were manufactured between December 2017 and June 2020, and Ergonomic axes, which were manufactured between June 2018 and December 2021.
Since the handle can break during normal use, there is a risk of serious fall injuries and death, according to the Swedish Consumer Agency.
Consumers are therefore urged to stop using the axes immediately and contact the manufacturer.
