The last chance is approaching. November 30 is the last day to pay for children's leisure activities with "Fritidskortet" (the Leisure Card) for this year.

What is Fritidskortet?

Fritidskortet is a government subsidy aimed at making it easier for more children and young people to participate in regular leisure activities in sports, outdoor activities, and culture. The cards are administered by Folkhälsomyndigheten in collaboration with several parties, including the Public Health Agency, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Arts Council, the Swedish Agency for Support to Innovation, the Swedish Sports Confederation, the Swedish Outdoor Association, and the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions. Which children are eligible for the Leisure Card and what is the amount?

  • Children aged 8-16: SEK 500 per year.
  • Children in households that received housing allowance last year: SEK 2,000 per year.

What period can you pay with Fritidskortet?

You can pay with the Fritidskortet from January 5 to November 30. Funds that are not used by November 30 cannot be saved for next year. [2]

What can Fritidskortet be used for?

The card can be used as payment for certain leisure activities offered by sports clubs, outdoor organizations, cultural schools, and other child and youth organizations connected to Fritidskortet. [3]

How to pay - step by step

  • Log in to Fritidskortet e-service (BankID, Freja eID or Foreign eID).
  • Search for the association/activity where the child participates.
  • Pay with Fritidkortet according to the instructions.

Important before November 30 The invoice: Follow the association/cultural school's payment instructions and enter the correct information.

Time limit: Ensure that the payment is made on time - after November 30, the opportunity to use this year's funds will be closed.
