The Crown Princess's return trip was planned via the capital, Jakarta, where she was to meet President Prabowo Subianto, among other things.
"The programme items that were planned in Jakarta are unfortunately cancelled for the Crown Princess, which is incredibly sad for everyone involved," writes the court's head of information, Margareta Thorgren, to TT.
The court wants to avoid, among other things, the Crown Princess and the delegation of about ten people getting stuck in Jakarta and thus risking missing King Harald's funeral in Oslo on Wednesday. The return trip will now take place via Bali instead.
Almost half of all flights from Jakarta have been cancelled in recent days due to the eruption of the Anak Krakatau volcano.
