According to the report, inspection visits were carried out three times during the night, two of them involving staff simply opening the door and looking inside.
When the day staff arrived the following morning, it was reported that the patient had not wanted to go to bed during the night. Later in the morning, the person was found deceased, sitting in his wheelchair.
The incident has been reported to the Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate (Ivo) in accordance with the Sarah Act.
