As last year, dramatic scenes unfolded in several places in Paris and other parts of the country as supporters gathered to celebrate the French capital club's second Champions League title in two years. Around 20,000 people are reported to have gathered on the Champs-Elysées.

The wild celebrations resulted in clashes between police and fans. French newspaper Le Monde reports that at least one police officer was injured. According to AFP, tear gas was fired at fans after fireworks were thrown at police outside the Parc des Princes.

More than 280 people have been arrested in Paris, and according to police, cars, bus stops and shops have been destroyed. A total of 416 people have been arrested in the country, according to the Interior Ministry.

Due to the unrest after last year's title, 22,000 police were deployed to monitor celebrations around the country. In Paris, several shopkeepers are reported to have barricaded windows and doors to prevent looting. In 2025, more than 200 people were injured when the celebrations degenerated, and hundreds were arrested.

PSG won Saturday's final against Arsenal on penalties at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest. The team is expected to hold a victory parade for around 100,000 people on Sunday.
