PSG meet Italian Inter at Allianz Arena in Munich on Saturday evening. But also in France, one is gearing up for the men's Champions League final.
Paris Saint-Germain has never stood as the final champion in the tournament and in Paris, one is ready if the team were to win – and the party would erupt. The French capital's police chief promises an "enormous mobilization" in Paris and its surroundings.
5,400 people will be deployed, it's enormous, says police chief Laurent Nunez in an interview with Le Parisien.
Many of the police will be stationed along the parade street Champs-Élysées and around PSG's home arena Parc des Princes in the southeastern part of Paris.
Since the Qatari owners took over Paris Saint-Germain in 2011 and pumped money into the club, the goal has been to bring home the Champions League. So far, one has only managed to reach the final once, in 2020. Then it was a defeat, 0–1, against Bayern München.
