80 people were killed in northern Gaza when trucks arrived with aid, nine at a distribution site in Rafah in the south and four in Khan Yunis, also in the south, according to the civil defense spokesperson Mahmud Basal to AFP.
Israeli forces are accused of being behind it, but it has not been confirmed from independent sources.
The Israeli military questions the death toll, but states that warning shots were fired to "avert an immediate threat" when thousands gathered at an aid distribution near Gaza City.
Deaths among civilians seeking aid are recurring in Gaza lately. The UN previously stated in July that nearly 800 people had been killed since the end of May while trying to get food.
On Sunday, the Israeli military issued an evacuation order for people in and around the city of Dayr al-Balah in central Gaza. The reason is that the military is planning ground operations in the area.
Both residents and refugees are urged to head south towards the al-Mawasi area.
The UN's coordination body for humanitarian aid (Ocha) criticizes the evacuation order in a statement as "another devastating blow to the already fragile lifelines that keep people alive throughout the Gaza Strip".
