The case is now being investigated by the National Unit for International and Organized Crime of the Public Prosecutor's Office, in relation to several cases of violations of the Aliens Act.

In general, it's clear that it does not look good to have people employed at a protected site who do not have the right to work in this country, prosecutor Tomas Willén tells Expressen.

The workers in question were rejected and given a three-year re-entry ban. The municipal company Göteborg Energi is also criticized in a new audit report from the municipality for shortcomings in the construction contract.

Göteborg Energi says in a comment to Expressen that the company has carried out the checks that were possible.
