The royal family is on vacation at Solliden on Öland and parts of the family took the opportunity on Thursday evening to sneak out through the castle gates to see Orup perform at Solliden Sessions.
The outdoor stage is located at the castle's serving place Kaffetorpet and despite a bit chilly weather, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
Earlier in the day, the king handed out the award to the Ölander of the year. This year's award went to Ulla-Britt Andersson, who is the chairman of Öland's botanical association and one of the authors behind "Öland's flora".
On Friday, the Victoria Days begin, which is how Crown Princess Victoria's birthday celebration has come to be known. The celebration culminates on Sunday with tributes from the public outside Solliden Castle and the televised Victoria Concert, where, among others, Molly Hammar, Albin Lee Meldau, and Lena Philipsson will perform.
