The police were called to an apartment fire in an apartment building shortly after 2 p.m. Rescue services and an ambulance were also dispatched.
The initial fire is now reported to be extinguished, but smoke has spread to other parts of the building, says Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson for the Stockholm Police.
At least three people, two adults and a child, with unknown injuries, have been taken to hospital. Several apartments have been affected by the fire and are currently uninhabitable.
It is still unclear what caused the fire. Police have taken one person from the scene for questioning.
