A woman has died and several people have been injured in an Israeli rocket attack in southern Lebanon, reports the country's state news agency.
According to local media, a residential building was hit in the attack and several people, including women and children, were taken to hospital.
Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah have been exchanging fire almost daily since the Gaza war began following Hamas's attack on Israel in October – but the attacks have escalated in recent days.
On Tuesday, a high-ranking Hezbollah commander was killed in an Israeli air raid in southern Lebanon. On Wednesday, more than 200 rockets were fired at the country, in what is described as Hezbollah's most extensive rocket attack on Israel since the war began, and on Thursday, a new wave of rocket attacks was directed at Israeli military bases.
