The Swedish women's cross-country skiers have dominated at the Olympics, winning seven of the nine medals. On Saturday they will compete together for gold in the relay. In addition, Swiss alpine skiing star Marco Odermatt, who has been overshadowed by rising star Franjo von Allmen, will defend his Olympic giant slalom title.

+ The women's cross-country relay team is chasing its third straight gold medal

Frida Karlsson has unsettled the Norwegians with her dominance. Ebba Andersson has taken silver medals behind her. Now they are huge favorites in the relay, where they won bronze at the Beijing Olympics four years ago.

+ The superstar wants to take back the spotlight

Marco Odermatt came to the Olympics as the undisputed Swiss alpine star. But a week into the Games, it is not him who has won three gold medals, but debutant compatriot Franjo von Allmen. Odermatt, a four-time overall World Cup champion, has had to settle for a bronze in the super-G, silver in the team event and a fourth place in the downhill. Now he faces the giant slalom, where he is the reigning champion.

+ Is it getting easier for the biathlon women?

The Olympics have been a disappointment for the Swedish biathlon women so far. Star Hanna Öberg was Sweden's worst-placed finisher in the individual race, in 40th place. Linn Gestblom was the best – in ninth place. Gestblom, together with Anna Magnusson and the Öberg sisters, has been selected for Saturday's sprint race. Will things loosen up now?
