Four years ago, Sara Hector won Olympic gold. On Sunday, she will take on the giant slalom course again. In addition, a new Dutch speed-skating duel awaits Jutta Leerdam, cheered on by boyfriend Jake Paul.

+ Sara Hector chases new gold

Sara Hector won the last giant slalom race before the Olympics. Her win in Spindleruv Mlyn was the 33-year-old's eighth World Cup victory and her first in just over a year. The reigning champion from Beijing 2022 thus looks to have hit the mark just in time for the Olympics. She most recently edged out Italy's Federica Brignone for gold. Now she aims to silence the home crowd in Cortina.

+ New golden chance for the star

Jutta Leerdam has made headlines for her relationship with YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul, her shopping, her flying habits and her six million followers on Instagram. But the Dutch skater is above all one of the biggest stars of the Olympic Games. In the 1,000 meters, she took gold ahead of teammate Femke Kok and broke the Olympic record. In Sunday's 500-meter race, a new duel with Kok awaits - and certainly new headlines about something other than skating.

+ Swedish trio in big air

Henrik Harlaut was forced to sit out the opening slopestyle competition after losing his balance during a training run and suffering a concussion. According to the Swedish team, there is nothing medically preventing him, and the 34-year-old is expected to be back for Sunday's big air, where he won bronze at the Olympics four years ago. He will be joined there by Jesper Tjäder and Martin Nordqvist.
