After the election, men are in the majority in the Swedish Parliament, with 187 members of parliament, or 53.6 percent. There are 162 women, or 46.4 percent, an increase of one woman.

Compared with when the unicameral Riksdag was introduced in 1971, the proportion of women has risen from 14 percent to almost half.

The oldest member of the chamber, Social Democrat Ewa Pihl Krabbe, is 78. The second oldest is Lars Leijonborg (L), 76. The youngest is Hanna Lindqvist (MP), 22.

The median age was 47 on election day and is unchanged from the 2022 election.
