Kerstin Ekman awards 100,000 kronor each from her and her husband Börje Frelin's scholarship fund to five recipients.
Ola Larsmo receives the scholarship for "11 lessons in Swedish history", with the motivation that the book is "a reminder of how political historical falsification can lead us to a simplified human view without regard to human rights".
The other award winners are the authors Anders Burman, Jesper Nyström and Anders Rydell as well as the guitarist Mats Bergström.
Kerstin Ekman and Börje Frelin founded the Klockrosen foundation in 2020 with the purpose of providing financial support to musicians and authors whose literary works require research or travel.
The scholarship was awarded for the first time in 2023.
