The economic cooperation organization OECD is adjusting its forecast for 2024's global growth to 3.2 percent. Previously, it was at 3.1 percent.
For next year, growth is expected to remain at 3.2 percent.
Inflation is being dampened on a global level and growth prospects have brightened somewhat, according to OECD's economists.
The forecast update from the Paris-based organization can be seen as a confirmation that central banks around the world have largely succeeded in curbing the strong upward pressure on prices in 2022-2023 and also seem to have avoided creating a global recession with their monetary policy tightening.
For the USA, OECD confirms its growth forecast for this year at 2.6 percent, while there is a small downward adjustment to 1.6 percent in the forecast for 2025, from previously 1.8 percent.
The growth forecast for the eurozone is at 0.7 percent this year and 1.3 percent for 2025.
