Biathlon star Elvira Öberg will miss all races during this week's World Cup competitions in Antholz, Italy.
This is confirmed by national team coach Johannes Lukas.
"Elvira is not feeling better today, so we made a final decision that she will not compete at all this weekend. At high altitude, we have to be extra cautious and the focus is now on getting her 100 percent recovered", says Johannes Lukas in a statement on Thursday.
The Swedish overall third in the World Cup announced herself on Instagram on Wednesday that she is struggling with illness symptoms and would therefore at least miss Thursday's sprint.
The competitions in Antholz are the last ones before the World Championship in Swiss Lenzerheide, which starts in three weeks.
