Novo Nordisk submitted the new application in June, but the Dental and Pharmaceutical Benefits Agency (TLV) says it cannot take a position on it because an appeal regarding the previous application has still not been decided by the Administrative Court.
The company is "surprised and disappointed".
"We applied again for a subsidy based on our own and the world's very strong desire to help the group of children and young people with severe obesity," says Helena Anderin, Director of Social Policy at Novo Nordisk Sweden, in a press release, adding that TLV also made it clear that it requested a renewed application for children and young people.
