Nykredit now predicts that Denmark's GDP will grow by 0.9 percent this year, down from the previous estimate of 3.5 percent, according to the news agency Bloomberg.
One of the reasons is weaker prospects for the pharmaceutical industry, according to Palle Sørensen, chief economist at Nykredit. At the same time, Danish exports are expected to decrease by 1.9 percent in 2025 – instead of a growth of 3.9 percent.
"At the bottom, the picture of the Danish economy, which in recent years has exceeded all and everything, begins to crack," says Sørensen in a comment.
