In Halland, a heat record for November was broken on Thursday, and it has been unusually mild for the time of year in large parts of the country. But now it is getting colder.

Varberg had 14.8 degrees on Thursday, the warmest in November since measurements there began in the 19th century.

At the same time, Halmstad touched its November record from 2020 of 16.0 degrees, reports P4 Halland .

It has been milder than normal in large parts of the country, but it is especially in the southern part, and colder air is coming in from the north now, says Charlotta Eriksson, meteorologist at SMHI.

This does not mean that we are taking a definitive step into winter. In the middle of next week, warmer air will once again come in from the south.

"It's still going to be a bit choppy anyway. It's not like winter is going to completely take over now," says Charlotta Eriksson.

In southern Sweden, it is usually a maximum of ten degrees Celsius in November, but in recent years the month has been milder.
