"These are very flexible glide bombs that can be used from fighter jets Ukraine uses today. The Ukrainians already have good experience using this type of weapon. Now we are ensuring that Ukraine gets the weapons they have requested," says Norway's Minister of Defense, Tore O Sandvik, in a press release.
The purchase of the glide bombs is part of a larger agreement with France, where Norway is contributing 4.2 billion Norwegian kroner (equivalent to 3.9 billion Swedish kronor) to purchase military equipment for Ukraine. France will in turn guarantee a loan equivalent to around 3 billion Norwegian kroner, according to the press release.
