Salary payments to former employees at now bankrupt Northvolt will be delayed by at least a week, reports SVT Västerbotten. This is because it takes time to administer the state salary guarantee.

But it's coming. We're working as fast as we can, but we must first receive all the decisions and check that everything is correct, says Helena Jangel Stridh, operations developer at the Tax Agency, to SVT.

Northvolt filed for bankruptcy on March 12 and the bankruptcy trustee has decided that the state salary guarantee will apply to all former employees.

It involves a total of over 4,000 employees, divided among several companies that are entitled to the salary guarantee, says Helena Jangel Stridh.
