The Tidö parties continue to block the Riksdag's investigation of the Landerholm affair, which is clear today. This also continues the cover-up, according to the Social Democrats.

During a meeting of the Riksdag's Constitutional Committee (KU), it became clear that the Tidö parties continue to oppose an investigation into Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) and his involvement in the so-called Landerholm affair.

"The government and the SD continue to do everything they can to cover up the Landerholm affair and protect the prime minister. The fact that the SD lends its votes to silence this security scandal shows that their loyalty lies with Tidö rather than the Swedish people," says KU's chairwoman, the Social Democrat Jennie Nilsson, in a comment.

Former national security advisor Henrik Landerholm, also a childhood friend of Kristersson, was indicted and acquitted on suspicion of negligence with a secret assignment after forgetting secret documents on a course campus.

The case has been appealed and the appeal hearings will likely not be held until after the election next year.

The Swedish Constitutional Court, which is responsible for the political review, took up the matter in the spring but paused work in connection with the indictment. The opposition wants the review to be carried out even though there is no final judgment, something that the Tidö parties call a "political game".
