The closures are part of a major steel bath – where it has already been reported in Japanese business press that 15 percent of the workforce, approximately 20,000 employees, will lose their jobs at Nissan in the downsizing.
The information about the personnel reduction is now confirmed by Nissan, which says that the number of employees will be reduced by 20,000 people over three years.
