The salaries will increase by 2,003 kronor over two years for full-time employees in the retail trade. For warehouse employees, the increase will be 1,925 kronor. This is because we have achieved a reduction in working hours for the first time, says Linda Palmetzhofer, chairperson of the Trade Union, at a press conference.
The agreement also includes that part-time employees who work beyond their regular working hours will receive extra compensation.
This will make it more expensive for employers to exploit part-time employment. Which we hope will lead to more employees getting more hours on their contracts, says Palmetzhofer.
Sofia Larsen, CEO of Swedish Trade, says at a press conference that the negotiations were challenging.
The demands from the union can be difficult to manage in tough economic times. But we have signed the agreement and want to continue being a job-creating engine in society.
