On Tuesday, a new Social Services Act was passed. It will come into force on 1 July and thus become the first new Social Services Act in over 40 years.
The new law deals with, among other things, that social services should work more preventively.
Social Services Minister Camilla Waltersson Grönvall (The Moderate Party) hopes for concrete changes already this summer – for example, that incoming alerts become digitally searchable.
"I hope that the new law will lead to more children being protected from crime through early interventions", writes Waltersson Grönvall in a press release.
