The Swedish Olympic ice hockey team has suffered another setback in the NHL. Toronto's Oliver Ekman-Larsson suffered an injury after getting tangled up with opposing player Lucas Raymond.

Ekman-Larsson left the game with a lower-body injury in the ninth minute after a mishap with compatriot Lucas Raymond, who plays for Detroit. According to nhl.com, it appeared that Ekman-Larsson's leg twisted.

Before that, Toronto had taken the lead through Scott Laughton, who was assisted by, among others, Swede Calle Järnkrok.

In the final minute of the first period, Detroit tied the score after an assist from Lucas Raymond set up a goal by Simon Edvinsson.

After two scoreless periods, Detroit captain Dylan Larkin decided the game with the 2-1 overtime goal. It is Detroit's seventh victory in the last eight games.

Toronto's Swedish star player William Nylander, also selected for the Olympics, missed his third straight game due to a groin injury.
