The Ukrainian capital Kyiv is under attack again, several media outlets report. The attacks come at a time when thousands are without electricity and heat after previous Russian attacks.

Russia has sent a wave of drones towards Kyiv overnight. Several explosions were reportedly heard around 1:30 a.m. local time.

At least one building has been hit and is on fire, reports the newspaper The Kyiv Independent.

Thousands of Kyiv residents remain without power after Friday's massive Russian attack, which included a hypersonic missile. Half of the city's apartment buildings are reported to have suffered power outages in the attacks, which killed at least four people.

At the same time, temperatures in the city are dropping and are now approaching minus 20 degrees, writes the EFE news agency.

“Energy workers and repair teams are working around the clock to restore electricity, heating and water supply to the people,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on X on Sunday.
