On Friday afternoon, Israel's military announced that Iranian rockets have been fired, and the attacks are confirmed by state-controlled Iranian TV.
It is reported that at least 20 long-range rockets have been fired. According to the initial information, about ten people have been injured, two of them seriously, in northern and central Israel, writes Jerusalem Post.
Earlier on Friday morning, five people were injured in Be'er Sheva in southern Israel in an Iranian rocket attack, according to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz. The city was also attacked on Thursday, when Iranian rockets hit the Soroka hospital.
Israel has urged residents in northern Iran to evacuate ahead of impending Israeli attacks on the area. The Israeli military claims to have attacked dozens of targets in the capital Tehran during the night – and the attacks are said to have been aimed at the "heart of Tehran" and a facility linked to Iran's nuclear energy program.
European foreign ministers are to meet with Iran's counterpart Abbas Araghchi in Geneva, Switzerland on Friday to discuss the nuclear energy program.
US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he will "within two weeks" decide whether the US will attack Iran or not.
