Some of the material "was meant to consolidate and disseminate Adolf Hitler's ideology in Argentina, right in the middle of World War II", says an official.
The boxes were seized by Argentine customs authorities, after being sent from the German embassy in Tokyo to Argentina in June 1941 on board the Japanese steamship "Nan-a-Maru".
German diplomats claimed that the boxes contained personal belongings and asked for them to be handed over, but Argentine customs authorities retained the material.
The Chief Justice has ordered that the material be preserved and thoroughly analyzed. The discovery was made in the court's basement.
