The post welcoming the NATO chief was, however, removed shortly after publication. According to the AFP news agency, the visit had not previously been announced publicly.
Rutte's visit comes the day after unusually large attacks on Kyiv and elsewhere. Tuesday's Russian attack killed at least 23 civilians, prompting President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to once again call for more air defense from NATO allies.
