Last Sunday, the first national ice day in two years was recorded. The following day, a second national ice day was also recorded, SMHI says.
A national ice day means that all weather stations throughout Sweden remained below 0.0°C throughout the day. In southern Sweden, however, temperatures are expected to rise slightly on Wednesday and Thursday and may briefly go above zero.
However, wind conditions mean temperatures can feel much lower than they actually are, SMHI says.
