Several people were killed and over a hundred injured in the attacks on Tuesday night.
Natalya Lytvynova lives at the top of a ten-story building.
I always try to think positively but last night I was very scared because I felt a shock wave against the house. It's not a good feeling when you feel the building shaking. The attack was about three kilometers from me, so quite far away - but even from a distance it feels bad.
"The attack was one of the largest against the capital in a long time. It was very shocking, even for those who are not usually that scared," says Natalya Lytvynova.
Even if you think you're super strong, some attacks are very scary. It's a game of life and death. It feels like you're in a casino.
Safer places
Natalya Lytvynova points out that it is difficult to go to a shelter every time the alarm goes off, as it can be many times each day.
Her house was built shortly after World War II and has no real shelters, she says. But last night she sought out safer places in the building.
You shouldn't be near windows or in the kitchen. When things like this happen, it has been shown that the walls don't collapse as easily inside the house. You can survive a war there.
Tired and angry
The attacks began at two in the morning and recurred several times, so Kyiv residents have had a poor night's sleep.
People on public transport today were very tired and angry. We all look like we need to sleep.
Now I'm in the park and I see mothers with small children. Today the summer holidays start and the children are happy. So it looks like life goes on, but the children look much happier than the adults.
