NASA has already sent an official ball to the International Space Station (ISS) to mark the USA sharing hosting rights of the World Cup with Mexico and Canada this year.
But if the Americans manage to win the championship, Isaacman promises to send a football further into space than ever before.
Isaacman is supported by NASA's lunar base program manager, Carlos Garcia-Galan.
If the USA wins the World Cup, we'll probably find a place for it, he says.
The United States will play Bosnia and Herzegovina in the round of 16 at 2:00 a.m. Thursday night.
